Showing posts with the label upcoming art sneak peek

Late January Hello!

Image
Well, the holidays got the best of me. Between festivities, work, customs, and general duties, I did not update my blog, website, and even fell off my Sunday eBay auction routine :(  But I am back now, and I have a sneak peek of the next 2 Sunday auctions! Also, a bit of insight into my current projects, which were also taking up more time than I thought they would (my bad). First, the fresh new arts- this upcoming Sunday (February 2) I will be listing "Pebble Pixie" for auction on eBay with a starting bid of $8.50: and Sunday, February 9 will be "Cherry Blossom Fawn", same place, same starting bid: Generally I post them around 11am PST, though sometimes I am running a bit late...it depends on the work day (yes, I work weekends and I list things from my phone).   So, I have not updated my website/galleries with any new art or dolls, though I do have some that I need to get to (we will get back on the website update train in Feb!) A few new dolls, a few new fantasy...

Monster High Lagoona Lalaloopsy Doll, ACEO Sunday sneak peek, ++ ramblings

Uggh, hiii So...currently existing in a haze of frustration of myself. Well, I'd say it's more like a mist. Not too thick, just...annoying. Yes, I am annoyed at being continuously frustrated with myself. Does that make any sense? Who knows. SO, I have FINISHED some dolls! Emily the Strange is complete and pretty much ready to find a new home- I need to draft a listing for her, though I suspect I may run into a weird copyright issue trying to list her on eBay. I've already had issues trying to get her Certificate of Authenticity made up. (ramble happening) Normally, I order out for the doll COAs, as I wanted a nice, smooth, perfect looking card. However, the place I order from is refusing to print up her COA as it goes against their copyright policies...Fine, I will print one up myself, fiiine, ughhh.   Oh, the printer is out of ink. Right-o, I have another cartridge ready to go. Oh, well, it doesn't recognize the black cartridge. Cool, coolcoolcool. So, I am currently ...

Work in Progress ACEOs!

Image
Ah, I see I skipped last week :/ Well, I do have a work in progress photo of a new batch of ACEOs, and of course a sneak peek of the Sunday auction! Besides that, I am kind of boring lately, maybe I will ramble a bit... Okee, first- I managed to remember to take a snapshot of this new batch of ACEOs before finishing them: They are coming along well now, I've lined them all in ink and will shade them in grey ink soon. Then colors!  Sunday's auction this week will be a sweet little fairy and a bumble bee: She is titled "Bumble Buds" and again, she will be up for auction on eBay starting this upcoming Sunday (4/17, also Easter I see my calendar is telling me). There are a handful of new ACEOs listed right now, you can browse through them if you want to: see HERE !  Um, I guess I don't have much to ramble about...wanting to make up some t shirt designs, and I had an idea for my next doll project (who knows when i will get to her!)  Xo, though! NEW DOLL! Plus sneak peek, ramble, and some printed goods

Okay, well Happy April Fool's Day...  Something of note: I am very very partial to jesters and the classic "King's Fool" trope, and over the years have drawn TONS of jesters, clowns, jokers, and all sorts of strange-humored creatures...In fact, the little demon nymphs I've taken to drawing over the past while certainly have their roots in my jester art.   Of course, all I have to share today are pretty fairies (sorry lol!) but still...it is SPRINGTIME and I am ready to only have to wear one pair of pants when I go outside. There are flowers poking out through the mud now, and the other day I even saw a wasp!  So, I suppose the fairies are appropriate :) Very first, I have a Featured Art for April up on my website- she is a repainted Monster High Operetta doll going by Gloria now.  Fashioned after a purple poofy flower of some unknown variety, she is very pleased to make your acquaintance.  For more info on her, photos, and all her little details (what...

"Smudge Signals" Painting, Sunday ACEO auction, + ramble

Image
Hellooo! Today I have a new painting (yeah, again!), and also a ramble about de-cluttering, as well as the preview for this Sunday's ACEO auction! So, firstly, a new painting- "Smudge Signals"- yes, this is another painting based of a previous ACEO I drew (of the same title bc I am lazy).  This rendition is very brightly colored; the initial drawing was much more somber, so I wanted to give her some rainbow.   She is an original acrylic painting, 8.5" x 11" on sheet canvas, unframed but very easy to do so!  She is currently available for purchase on eBay- click HERE (or her picture above) to view the listing and more details about the painting.   I suppose I will just show the other art before I begin my ramble- this is the preview of the Sunday morning auction on eBay: This is "Honey Fae"- an original ACEO illustration (pen and ink) that will be available to bid on starting this Sunday (Feb 27).   I had a TON of fun drawing all the teeny fl...

ACEO Sneak Peek and Featured Art

Image
Greetings! As it is a new month, I do have a new Featured Art on my website, and I also have a glimpse at some upcoming ACEO illustrations to share today. So here we go... Featured Art on my website for February is a large painting of my original "Smokeshow" genie illustration. The painting itself is quite large for what I usually offer, at 18" x 24" on gallery wrapped canvas.   Here is a picture: "Smokeshow" is an acrylic painting, 18" x 24" on gallery wrapped canvas. You can view her page on my website HERE , where there is a full write up and purchase information (which can also be found HERE ).  And now for a very quick, very unfinished sneak peek at the little batch of ACEOs I am currently working on: As you can see, they have not been shaded or colored yet...but one if them will be completed and up for auction on eBay for Sunday morning!  I have been busy getting To the Nines limited edition ACEOs printed and embellished and rea...

Happy New Year!- Featured Art, upcoming projects, a sneak peek!

Image
Before I ramble, I want to wish each of you a hopeful, sparkly, magical New Year!  This is how I feel about 2021: Also, as usual, I am mostly behind schedule in the majority of my projects, but on time for others...and it will probably always be this way. I try so hard to stick to one or two pieces at a time, but then like halfway through those I am getting brand new ideas. I just write them all down, and go back to them later. Some end up being shite, others need more thought before action, and some are just quick sketches and easy. This weekend I have Featured Art for January, some ACEOs, and a sneak peek of a new painting. I will probably ramble about upcoming projects, too... Let's do the ACEOs first, then: the art nouveau inspired produce ACEO "Broccoli" is up for auction and ends this Sunday!  I just adore her, and I cannot wait to get started on her sisters! You can view the auction HERE on eBay, or click on her picture: And the ACEO I will be listing this upcomi...

Sneak Peek, December Featured Art, and new ACEOs!

Image
Friday Hellos! I have new art, sneak peek/WIP pic, and the featured art for this month... Remember those "weird" drawings I mentioned last week? Well, I listed one of them this evening- "Weird Girl 1" (I know, such a creative title, hehe). I saw a very well composed photo of some kind of bug (I think it was a variety of mantis, but it was very furry looking and had lots of feathery tendrils, and I am no bug expert)...so that is what inspired this first weird girl: She is currently up for Auction/Buy It Now on eBay HERE if you have any interest in homing her. I will be putting up "Weird Girl 2" on Sunday am (might be closer to noon time, I think I will be at brunch with Dad beforehand) but here is a preview of her... I was very inspired with the bugs, so found some cool looking moth reference pictures to work from for her.  Again, she will be listed for auction on Sunday- check this link to see if she is up yet:   All Em's Auctions What is next here......

Just a brief hello...

Ahh gaaah I am tired.... Okay, so, super lame quick post again this week- I have been working in restaurant land, which has grown rather busy for now (expected and planned for). This week, the industrial stand mixer went down (unexpected and sad), and so all the cheese was shredded and mixed completely by hand, and all of the pizza dough was mixed by hand as well.  And when I say "by hand" I mean MY hands. I did have a second cook helping, thank goodness.  Thank you second cook! The mixer is now functional as of this afternoon, so no more giant batches of dough and cheese by sheer will and elbow grease. For now.  Suffice to say, between work and the holiday I don't have too much art to show for myself this time... But I do have a sneak peek of a new Medusa ACEO: Not sure when I will be listing her, but certainly within the week. There are a few other new ones as well, all rather weird (as forewarned in the previous post).  OMG you guys I have to go sit down in ...

"Four Eyes" Jester Art Work in Progress + New Mermaid ACEO

Image
Greetings! Well, dinner is heating up in the oven (leftovers!) and while I wait for that, let's share some new stuff! Firstly, I have just begun a new painting (from an older ACEO that I love so much) and figured I'd post up my one progress photo.  Tentatively titled "Four Eyes"- based off of my "The Eyes 4" ACEO. Just some shading in browns and grey for now, unsure as to final color choices or background...kind of just playing around with it: The other new art today is a mermaid ACEO- she is reading a book from her library! Books are so fun to draw. As are the underwater worlds that I have never been to... "Leisure Read" is an original ACEO illustration (inks on bristol, 3.5" x 2.5") and is currently available on eBay HERE .   I know I have been rather crap about listing things on eBay these past few weeks. There are some new Open Edition ACEOs coming up, and I've just gotten through a new batch of Limited Edition ACEOs ...

New ACEOs and "To the Nines" ACEO series sneak peek

Image
Happy Friday! Just a quick post today, to share the new ACEOs I have up for auction on eBay, as well as a sneak peek of my latest illustration project. Definitely feeling the Halloween vibes already, so that has themed the new art cards this week!  The one currently up for auction is titled "Bone Garden"- a spritely goat nymph, frolicking through the garden of bones, collecting little pieces here and there in her tin pail.   "Bone Garden" is an original illustration, and she is currently up for auction on eBay HERE !   The OTHER new ACEO illustration I will be listing this week (Sunday morning, around 11am EST) is called "Candy Fairy"- sometimes my titles are not so creative, lol!  But she is very pretty, I like how the colors turned out: Again, "Candy Fairy" will be listed for auction (starting bid $7.35) on Sunday morning (10/10).  There are also a handful of other creepy/autumn/Halloween themed ACEOs up for auction now- you can see all my auc...

November Featured Art, project sneak peek, and a ramble

Image
Hi! Well, I realize now I lost track of my posting days, and only managed ONE blog post last month.  This is unacceptable to me. A long, long time ago, I posted a blog nearly every day.  But I am older and slower now (neither of which is a bad thing) and I have taken to working on only one or two projects at a time, instead of 3-5. So, there is a lot more downtime in between completed arts. Thus, less stuff for me to post about. I guess it also comes down to the amount of attention I have been giving to home projects over the "pandemic months".  Sewed some cat beds, winter curtains, and a bunch of masks.  I have been doing some laundry by hand, as I have limited quarters to use in the laundry room. So all small items get washed in the sink, and air dried in the kitchen.  Lots of baking now that the weather has turned cold. Winterizing windows with plastic and then big, thick curtains that I sewed from fleece blankets.  And of course the dishes and cle...
