September Update- Wendi the Wendigo, etsy's back, Zazzle merch, and more

Image
OMFG I do NOT want to be on this dang computer. but OMFG I really want to share this new doll, and all the updates I have for the month! So, without further adieu, may I introduce Wendi: Wendi is a Skelita Calaveras custom, and a counterpart to the Flora doll.  This was my very first Skelita make-over, and I was nervous, I always get nervous when I make the creepy dolls. I just want them to be NOT PRETTY but NOT UGLY and also resemble the look I have in my head. I think I did okay with her, I really like how her eyes turned out- a slight bit off, wanted to give her a dead stare, as she is...a dead thing, you know?   She is up for auction on eBay HERE , with lots more pictures and a little write up.  If she does not find a new home from eBay, I will be putting her up in my freshly re-opened etsy shop: zombietoes.etsy.com I am also hoping to get some other doll related items listed on etsy in the soonish future, as it is a bit empty over there at the moment....

ACEO Sneak Peek and Featured Art

Image
Greetings! As it is a new month, I do have a new Featured Art on my website, and I also have a glimpse at some upcoming ACEO illustrations to share today. So here we go... Featured Art on my website for February is a large painting of my original "Smokeshow" genie illustration. The painting itself is quite large for what I usually offer, at 18" x 24" on gallery wrapped canvas.   Here is a picture: "Smokeshow" is an acrylic painting, 18" x 24" on gallery wrapped canvas. You can view her page on my website HERE , where there is a full write up and purchase information (which can also be found HERE ).  And now for a very quick, very unfinished sneak peek at the little batch of ACEOs I am currently working on: As you can see, they have not been shaded or colored yet...but one if them will be completed and up for auction on eBay for Sunday morning!  I have been busy getting To the Nines limited edition ACEOs printed and embellished and rea...

Floating Daisies Nymph + website updates

Image
Happy Friday! Just a quick post this week- I have a bit of a headache and it is sucking to look at this screen, ugh!  I did update my website gallery with a handful of unposted art- I can't rightfully call them "new", as I drew them awhile ago!  Just trying to get caught up...But you can check it all out HERE ! The larger images at the top of the page are the new additions, and clicking on any of them will bring you to the Zazzle print page.  Hopefully more gallery additions before the end of the month. Also, I've been painting and such, working on "Four Eyes", and thought I'd use some leftover paint for some ACEOs!  Getting details in paint in this size is always a challenge for me...but here is one of them, titled "Floating Daisies": "Floating Daisies" is an original 2.5" x 3.5" (ACEO) acrylic painting on canvas of a playful fawn nymph girl...she is currently up for auction on eBay (ends Friday, November 19 at 6:23 pm EST...

Oh Hi, October! Dragon Hugs and Updates

Image
So, it's been about a year since I've blogged... Of course, I have been creating art that whole time, and always had good intentions to update regularly...but I seem to always put it off.  Will very much try to stick to the perfectly fine schedule I have set for myself this time. No promises. Happy October, though!!! My very favorite season is upon us, and it is rather short, so I have been trying to enjoy it to the fullest!  I've begun baking again, and going for walks in the forest, watching (more) scary movies, wearing hoodies!  Soon I can wear my overly fuzzy socks again! Woo! I have a few little updates, but let's start with some art!  October's "Featured Art" on my website is a recent painting titled "Dragon Hugs".  A portrait of one strange three eyed nymph and her loyal friend.   She is an original 8.5" x 11" acrylic painting on canvas (sheet)- the original has bee sold!  However, there are open edition ACEO prints (2 sided!) a...

Doll Gallery- Live on Website

Image
Hi hi! Well, at long last I have managed to publish the doll gallery on my website!  At first I didn't bother with it, as I had only made a few dolls and they were FAR in between, so I did not know if this was just one of my phases or what.  Then, after deciding that I love it and will be repainting more dolls, they deserved their own spot on the website.  But I only had a few!  Not worth posting just a few, I thought, so I saved them up and then I had a fair amount...and a fair amount of other website work that I had also been neglecting. Of course.  So, it took a little longer than it should have, but to view the zombietoes.com doll gallery, please click HERE !  (I was too lazy to make a banner, lol) More dolls will be added over time, of course. Also, to celebrate the Doll Gallery "Opening", I have listed a little Jester Doll on eBay- she is a custom Shopkins Shoppie doll, mostly cute with a dash of creepy... Click HERE to see the eBay listing for ...

Website Gallery + Zazzle Shop Update

Image
Hi Hi! I have a brand new gallery on my website!  :) :) Of course, there are currently only 6 images there, but I am working on it!  Still sorting through the archive galleries, still sorting through my web store as well.  My eyeballs are fried, and my heart wants to work on my new doll so badly...but I HAVE to get all this internet art clutter under control. So, slow and steady. So, the new (tiny) gallery can be viewed HERE .  If you hover over the thumbnails, it will tell you the title of the artwork.  If you click on it, it will A) bring you to a page in my Zazzle shop to see a bigger version, and give you purchase options if you are interested in that sort of thing...or B) it will do nothing and take you nowhere, as I do not have any merch or prints available for those particular works. But still, I want to show them off. About my Zazzle shop - I actually have 2 of them, but we are talking about the zombietoes shop- it is now being maintained weekly by...

To The Nines ACEO series- Wishing

Image
Greetings dears, Welllll...yeah. It has been so long since any attention has been paid (by me) to the website and blogs, that I have once again decided it is best to start from scratch. So, total overhaul, new blog space, less clutter, still tons of art! I am REALLY going to TRY to keep it very streamlined and simple this time. I know I say this every time I do an overhaul. Okay, how about some art?  I've started a new series, called "To The Nines". Each piece in this series acts as one large illustration, but it ALSO works as nine little ACEOs! All nine of the ACEOs interlock to form a bigger image. The first piece is titled "Wishing", and features nine fantasy ladies in varying forms, each performing some act or ritual surrounding wishing.  below is the full illustration: The complete image is available in poster and print form through my Zazzle Shop HERE ! You can choose what size, what type of paper (or canvas, or wood, etc) and even a frame if you want!  Fo...
