August update- Flora the Fawn

 So, hello!

This update is doll heavy, fair warning.

For one thing, I have updated my custom doll gallery on the website- some new faces are there to be seen now! Not all the finished dollies are up there yet, like I keep saying I am behind with the updates (like, a YEAR behind) and I have a lot of art. But more so, I just don't want to be spending all my art time updating my website. I know that's hOw YOu mAKe MONey but I am still only mildly enticed by that sentiment.  Anyway, new dolls to behold can be found on my Doll Gallery page- clicking on the thumbnails will bring you to their individual pages with more photos, a little write up, and details on outfits, shoes, and accessories.

I also have a freshly finished doll that I've just listed for auction on eBay- HERE. Her name is Flora, and she is one of two sisters, the other will be coming along in a few weeks.) She is a very sunny fawn girl- I had this urge to go with a cottagecore theme. So here is a quick look at her:

In the spirit of tiny playthings, all her clothing and accessories come off and are separate pieces. I truly love making tiny things, especially shoes and bags. 

So, that is Flora, and her sister Wendi is a much different breed. she will be around soon ;)

I have not updated the other galleries since last month. Perhaps I will get to that post haste. I do find it beneficial to take a little breather between doll projects, and there is always something to do in the office.

To the Nines "Home" ACEO series - complete!

Well, it's finished! Yaaay!! There are so many little details, and I am really quite happy with how it turned out.  It is more muted in color than the previous To the Nines ("Wishing"), but this was purposeful. I wanted a bit more cohesion in the whole piece, so I chose a color scheme for the entire image this time. Usually i don't plan the colors out, i just pick one or two and then add whatever I want during. But sometimes it is nice to have limits lol! Here is the full image: At any rate, let me explain again my To the Nines series.  It is essentially a set of 9 complete ACEOs that also make up a larger story/image.  I am rather partial to puzzles and things that fit together but are different. Work in Progress ACEOs!

 Ah, I see I skipped last week :/ Well, I do have a work in progress photo of a new batch of ACEOs, and of course a sneak peek of the Sunday auction! Besides that, I am kind of boring lately, maybe I will ramble a bit... Okee, first- I managed to remember to take a snapshot of this new batch of ACEOs before finishing them: They are coming along well now, I've lined them all in ink and will shade them in grey ink soon. Then colors!  Sunday's auction this week will be a sweet little fairy and a bumble bee: She is titled "Bumble Buds" and again, she will be up for auction on eBay starting this upcoming Sunday (4/17, also Easter I see my calendar is telling me). A Ramble and Sunday auction sneak peek

 Hi hi! I'm just popping in here to give an update- I have been off visiting family, and I am home for about 10 minutes before I go off to house sit for some friends.  It has been a rather busy summer- great to distract from the oppressive heat!  Honestly, I am tolerant of it mostly, as long as I stay out of direct sunlight.  I think I might be turning into a vampire, really, the sun HURTS me, my eyes mostly. They just start watering as soon as it hits high noon. Sunglasses help a little, but I tend to stick to the shade when I am out and about. Ummm, not a lot of new projects to show, everything is still in my head or just chicken scratches on scrap paper.  I have taken a long break from the To the Nines project series.  I think I will save those for cold winter days, as they need a lot of focus, and I get distracted easily in the warm weather.  It's a seasonal thing for me- I gather a lot of inspiration while I am busy running around in the spring and summer- filling my eyes
